The Jersey Shore has long been a place where people went to find relief from the summer heat and humidity. By the end of the 19th century, the 120-mile-long coastline in New Jersey was dotted with amusement parks, fast-food emporiums, and abundant opportunities for recreation. The amusement parks are fond and fading memories today but the photographs bring those parks back to life!
