Youth Leadership Program @ FTPL

Toastmasters present ‘Youth Leadership Program’ at the Franklin Township Public Library.

Young adults, ages 13 – 18 are eligible to participate!

Think of the successful leaders you know.  They probably have one trait in common – the ability to communicate effectively.  Every young person has the potential to become a good communicator and leader, but the potential needs to be developed.  This free eight-week Youth Leadership Program, sponsored and conducted by members of the Conackamack Toastmasters, will be held Tuesday evenings from March 17th through May 12th at the Main Library.

This program provides an emphasis on specialized speaking and leadership skills.  Participants will learn to overcome nervousness with public speaking while organizing and presenting ideas logically and convincingly.  Members will listen carefully to others’ ideas, offer advice to help others improve, participate in—and even lead—group discussions.  All members will increase their self-confidence as they learn, make new friends and have fun.

All materials will be provided.  Space is limited, and registration is required.  All interested young adults must contact the program coordinator Sheila Mason at Sheila.mason1@gmail.com to register for the program.
