This Week at the Library: What’s Happening 10/15 – 10/21

Meditation for Beginners – Thursday, 10/18 at 7pm.

Are you interested in trying meditation to reduce stress or calm your mind? Come try a guided mindfulness meditation session. The process focuses on non-judgmental awareness of our thoughts and actions to achieve relaxation and calm. There will also be time for questions. Please register here!

Crafting Circle: Wednesday, 10/17 at 7pm

Meet new friends, learn a new craft, or bring a project you’re trying to finish. Registration is not required!

Movie Matinee: Ocean’s 8 – Friday, 10/19 at 2pm.

Bobbin Lacemaking – Saturday, 10/20 at 10:15am

The Cranberry Lacemakers of Central New Jersey work to preserve centuries-old hand bobbin lacemaking and tatting techniques. This is a formal get-together for practitioners of the craft. Beginners are welcome to come and observe the basics of the craft. Members are able to share information about where to find additional resources about lacemaking for those who wish to learn more. If this is your first visit, please be sure to register here.

Crochet, Anyone? Sunday, 10/31 at 1:30pm

Join craft enthusiasts for crocheting (or knitting) and conversation. Novices and experts welcome. Though formal instruction is not provided at this gathering, there will be plenty of encouragement! (This provides time and space to work on holiday projects others in the household shouldn’t see…just yet.) Please bring your own materials. No registration needed!
