Not only are we offering a free SAT review, we have tons of great study materials at the Library as well.  In addition to a wide selection of test prep books, educational DVDs, and tons of great vocabulary building books like the Kaplan SAT Score-Raising Classics series, we also have free online database resources that you can access from home with your library card.  For example, the Learning Express Library database has content and practice tests for several exams, such as the SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, MCAT, AP exams, PRAXIS, and other career exams.  It also contains knowledge building in areas like Social Studies, Science, Math and English.

There are flyers on the Reference Desk that you can take home that will show you how to access our online databases at the library or at home.  For some of the databases, you will need your library card to use as a username and create an account.  You can also click on this link to be brought to our list of databases, which is searchable by name or subject. Several of the databases provided by Franklin Township Public Library offer mobile applications for your phone and tablet.

Mango Languages, which offers a comprehensive list of foreign languages (as was as English) to learn has a mobile app for both Android and iOS devices. You will have needed to created an account through Mango which can be accessed by visiting the library’s Database page.


Ebscohost has a mobile application that will let you access Academic Search Premier, ERIC, Masterfile Elite and many others. The Ebscohost mobile application is available for iOS and Android. In order to access the library’s subscription databases please visit an Ebsco database (such as MasterFile Elite) and click on the link at the bottom of the page where it says “iPhone and Android apps.” You will have to enter you e-mail address and will receive an response with detailed instructions on how to load the app.


Gale’s Access My Library provide’s direct links to the Gale Virtual Library, Gale Directory Library, Price It! Antiques and Collectibles, and Contemporary Authors. The app is available for both Android and iOS.
