Win, Lose, or Draw: The Mayor’s Chess Tournament

On Sunday, February 3, 2013, Mayor Brian Levine challenged ten students to a simultaneous game of chess.  Chess coach Ismael Cartagena-Vidro told the students, “Your job is to make the mayor sweat.”  Five games were won by the mayor, and five games were declared a draw at the predetermined ending time.

Mayor Levine waits for Elizabeth’s move as her parents and the chess coaches watch.
