October Fun for your “Little Monsters”

Crazy, funny, happy monsters are on our minds here at Franklin Township Library!

First, don’t miss the fun with our Monster Mash Dance Party on Sunday afternoon, October 8, at 2:00 p.m. We chosen some special Halloween-themed songs for our playlist. This program will be repeated on Friday, October 27, at 10:45 a.m.

Check out the new Reading Rocks! program on Wednesday evening, October 18, at 7:00 p.m. and explore stories together in some fun ways.

Bring your own pumpkin to paint on Sunday, October 22, at 2:00 p.m. – oh, and bring it in a box so you can carry it home without getting paint everywhere. (Will your pumpkin turn into a monster?)

Don’t miss a real marionette puppet show when Robert Rogers Puppet Company returns with Hobnobbin’ Goblins on Sunday, October 29, at 2:00 p.m. Children will have a chance to get up close and personal with some of these spooky but not scary marionettes after the show, so parents, bring your cameras!

And come in costume to trick-or-treat around the library on Halloween day – Tuesday, October 31, at 11:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. You may even see some surprise guests!

All of these programs are at the Main Library on DeMott Lane and they are free! Check our calendar online for much more, and don’t forget that we can help you find the perfect bedtime stories to give “sweet dreams” to all “little monsters” everywhere!

A Pumpkin Marionette – do you see the string coming from its hand?
