Piano Music for Four Hands- Spring Rhapsody

svitlana

We invite you to enjoy the sounds of the season with the Syrtsova-Krivonos piano duet. Their program ‘Spring Rhapsody” features music written or transcribed for four hands by great composers – each with their own unique style and sound. Whether it’s the passionate and sublime ‘Fantasy’ by Schubert, the elegant dances by ‘The Waltz King’ Johannes Strauss II, or humorous French can-can from ‘The Carnival of the Animals’ by Saint-Saëns, there’s something for everybody at this concert. The program concludes with one of the most striking and original pieces of the 20th century, Gershwin’s ‘Rhapsody in Blue’, iconic in capturing the essence of the American spirit of the 1920s.

New York-based husband and wife team Svitlana Syrtsova and Sergey Krivonos began performing together in 2013. The tremendous success of their first concert inspired the duo to continue their collaboration. After numerous duo recitals at various public venues in New York and New Jersey, they’ve developed a broad four hands repertoire. Praised for their passionate style, vivid artistry and virtuosity, the duet aims to bring the best music to their audiences and keep the art of four hands playing at the highest standard of excellence.
This event will be held on Wednesday, May 25th from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Community Room. Sign up today!
