This self-portrait shows a rumpled Elton sitting surrounded by his cameras and equipment reading "How to Make Good Pictures - a Book for the Every-day Photographer" by the Kodak Company. Elton titled the photo "An Amateur Befogged" and it was for print in an unknown publication. There is various photography equipment on the desk such as film and filters. The film at the corner of the desk says "Kodachrome K 828".
