Millstone Parade for the 150th Anniversary of U.S. Independence (1)
Part of the Millstone parade in honor of the 150th Anniversary (Sesquicentennial) of U.S. Independence. The "float" on the truck was put together by the Steuben Society of America and shows "Revolutionary soldiers" and one woman "loading" a cannon for firing. It is likely intended to symbolize the contributions Baron von Steuben made to training the Revolutionary troops. A car, covered with patriotic bunting, sits by the side of the road. A man, woman and child are visible in the car. A woman is walking along the verge looking at the float.
