Sights in New Jersey :
Title:
Double Falls - Chimney Rock
Date:
05/17/1936
Description:
Another shot of the Double Falls at Chimney Rock. This is a close-up of the upper falls and better displays the likelihood that this section was either man-made or merely reinforced with concrete. There is what looks like a drainage pipe just to the left of the falling water. It also provides a better view of the pool at the base of the first waterfall and the woods just beyond it. Elton's notes say this is in Bound Brook, but today it is considered part of Washington Valley Park which is administered through Bridgewater Township, N.J.
