Hall-Mills Murders: DeRussey's Lane (a.k.a. Franklin Boulevard), Somerset, NJ (1922)

It was on this lovers' lane off of DeRussey's Lane that the Hall-Mills murders took place. The road was originally named for early landowners, the DeRussey family (one of whom became a mayor of New Brunswick). After the murder, the stigma and national bad press brought about a name change, and today the road is known as Franklin Boulevard.
