We’ve got some great events coming up in November for all ages!

Trash or Treasure, What’s It Worth?
Select a maximum of two ‘priceless’ possessions, and haul them over to the Library’s antique and collectible appraise-a-thon. Appraisals will take place on a first-come first-served basis as time permits. Weapons will not be covered. If you love Antiques Roadshow, you won’t want to miss the return of this popular appraise-a-thon event. Sunday, November 8th from 1:30-3:30 in the Community Room.

Diwali- Festival of Lights
Light removes darkness, light leads our way; hundreds of clay lamps are lit on Diwali day. Decorate your home and get ready; it is time to celebrate and enjoy with friends and family!  This workshop for adults and teens will focus on stories, music and dance, and traditions connected with the Diwali festival.
Monday, November 9th from 7:00-8:30 in the Community Room.

Native Americans of the Franklin Township Region
Come take a journey back in time with Jim Wade to discover the original Native Americans who lived in our area and uncover the hidden presence of the inhabitants who once hunted, fished, and gathered wild plants through the central New Jersey area- maybe in your own backyard.
Thursday, November 19th from 7:00-8:30 in the Community Room.

Movie: Mr. Holmes
Mr. Holmes is a new twist on the world’s most famous detective. It’s 1947, and an aging Sherlock Holmes returns from a journey to Japan, where, in search of a rare plant with powerful restorative qualities, he has witnessed the devastation of nuclear warfare. Now, in his remote seaside farmhouse, Holmes faces the end of his days tending to his bees, with only the company of his housekeeper and her young son, Roger. Grappling with the diminishing powers of his mind, Holmes comes to rely upon the boy as he revisits the circumstances of the unsolved case that forced him into retirement, and searches for answers to the mysteries of life and love – before it’s too late. Friday, November 20th from 2:00-4:00 in the Community Room.
