2015 is almost over and it’s time to reflect on the past year of our lives. What did we do? What didn’t we do? And in this case, what did or didn’t we read? Here’s a list of “award winning” and “best of” YA books from the past year.

YALSA’s Teen’s Top Ten – voted on by teens for teens!
2015 Great Graphic Novels for Teens – also created by YALSA, it includes both fiction and nonfiction titles
2015 Morris Award – honors a debut book published by a first-time author writing for teens (this is one of my favorite books I’ve read this year – come ask me more about it)
2015 Printz Award – an award for a book that exemplifies literary excellence in young adult literature.
2015 Alex Award Winners – ten books written for adults that have special appeal to young adults
2015 Nonfiction – honors the best nonfiction book published for young adults; this year’s titles include books about vintage and geek fashion, spinal muscular atrophy, the Romanovs, Civil Rights, and big business
