Read Harder 2016 Update

ReadHarder2016

We’re almost half way through the year and if you’re participating in the BookRiot 2016 Read Harder Challenge and have portioned out your reading, you should have read 11-12 books. Read more? Great! Read less? Don’t worry, you’ve still got half the year to hit your goals. Flyers can be found at both the Circulation and Reference desks with a list of this year’s tasks.

Here’s what BookRiot had to say, “We encourage you to push yourself, to take advantage of this challenge as a way to explore topics or formats or genres that you otherwise wouldn’t try. But this isn’t a test. No one is keeping score and there are no points to post. We like books because they allow us to see the world from a new perspective, and sometimes we all need help to even know which perspectives to try out. That’s what this is – a perspective shift – but one for which you’ll only be accountable to yourself.”

Looking for recommendations on what to read? Try the GoodReads group which has tons of suggestions.

If you’ve been participating in the Challenge, let us know what you’re favorite book/task has been so far!
