Upgrading our Technology to Serve you Better

Beginning Monday, August 22, 2016 and continuing through the morning of Thursday, August 25, 2016, the library will perform an upgrade to its hardware systems. The process will affect both the Main Library and the Franklin Park Branch. Read on for further details…

During this time, the library will stay open. Patrons will be able to:

  • borrow and return books
  • renew items by calling or stopping by the library
  • search the library catalog for books
  • pick up holds placed before the upgrade
  • visit the library to use computer services
  • register for, and attend, library programs

During the upgrade, several services will be unavailable, including:

  • place new holds on items
  • register new users or update user records
  • access to patron accounts through the online catalog
  • all automated notifications to patrons
  • checkouts of new interlibrary loan materials
  • new library meeting room reservation requests

Please call the library at 732-873-8700 if you have questions about your account or would like staff to set aside an available item during the upgrade. Patrons will be given additional time to pick up available holds that arrive between August 22-25, 2016.
