This month we have 2 programs for the college-bound and their families.
How to Earn a Perfect Score on the SAT Essay Section
Tuesday February 21st @ 7pm
One of the most challenging portions of the new Scholastic Aptitude Exam is the essay. This one-hour seminar will introduce high-schoolers and junior-high-schoolers to all the skills and advice necessary to get a perfect score on the essay analysis section.
Students will learn how to: organize their fifty minutes, outline, read for style, evidence, and overall organization. Participants will get hands-on practice working through an actual essay prompt, including preparing a rough draft that conforms to all grading expectations, revising a polished second-draft that earns top marks, and even avoiding commonly-occurring grammatical mistakes.
Parents are welcome to attend
The instructor, Ameer Sohrawardy, has more than ten years of experience in SAT Prep, as well as college-level instruction. So bring all your questions about the SAT as well as the entire
college application process.
