This Week at the Library: What’s Happening 12/3 – 12/9

Crafting Circle – Wednesday, 12/5 at 7pm.

Meet new friends, learn a new craft, or bring a project you’re trying to finish. Registration is not required.

Get into the holiday spirit with the Franklin High School student members of The Madrigals ensemble (with selected guests). Attendees will be treated to a program of carols and works from the Renaissance period. The Madrigal Singers are members of the Concert Choir who have auditioned to be admitted into this special ensemble and serve as good will ambassadors for Franklin High School. No registration needed.

 

Movie Matinee: Crazy Rich Asians – Friday, 12/7 at 2pm.

This contemporary romantic comedy, based on a global bestseller, follows native New Yorker Rachel Chu to Singapore to meet her boyfriend’s family. (From IMDBRated PG-13, 2 hours. No registration needed.

 

Second Saturday Book Club: The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George – Saturday, 12/8 at 11am.

Join us for a discussion of The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George. New members always welcome! Limited copies available at the Reference Desk. No registration required.

 

Crochet, Anyone? Sunday, 12/9 at 1:30pm.

Join craft enthusiasts for crocheting (or knitting) and conversation. Novices and experts welcome. Though formal instruction is not provided at this gathering, there will be plenty of encouragement! (This provides time and space to work on holiday projects others in the household shouldn’t see…just yet.) Please bring your own materials. No registration needed.
