This Week at the Main Library

Have you signed up for summer reading? There is a program for adults as well as for children and teens. One of the best ways to encourage your child to read is to let them catch you reading! Plus, you might win one of the raffle drawings (adults) or your choice of some cool space-themed items, books, or a trinket from the Library Treasure Chest (kids).

There is room for you in some of the programs happening this week:
Interplanetary Coloring Craze – Tuesday, July 16, at 7:00 p.m. for ages 4 through adult. Relax and listen to soothing music as you color some intricately detailed pages.
Kids’ Summer Film Festival: Muppets in Space – Wednesday, July 17, at 1:30 p.m. (Rated G, 88 minutes) Cool off in our air-conditioned community room as you watch this free movie on our large screen (sorry, no food or drink at this one, but there is a park with picnic tables in the complex).
First Fairy Tales: Storytelling for Little Ones – Wednesday, July 16, at 7:00 p.m. Join us for a half-hour of interactive storytelling and rhymes! Please register with your child’s age so that we can plan the right balance of rhymes and stories.
