Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman Mobile Office – Wednesday, 5/4 from 11am to 2pm. DeMott Lane Branch.

Meet with case workers in the district office of Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman regarding any issues you may have with a federal agency.

This is a chance for constituents to meet with case workers in the district office of Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman regarding any issues you may have with a federal agency (IRS, USCIS, SSA, etc.). Stop by with your questions!

Get the Most Out of Astronomy – Wednesday, 5/18 at 7pm. DeMott Lane Branch.

This program will go over several astronomy tools, tips, and websites that are great resources to help you get the most out of the hobby. Presented by The Franklin Township Astronomy Club, an open and inclusive club which promotes both the science and joy of astronomy and its related activities. Please click here to register.



Adult Craft Break: Tiny Art Show – Friday, 5/20 at 2pm. DeMott Lane Branch.

Paint anything you’d like on small canvases. Your paintings will be displayed in the library display case for the months of June and July. You can pick up your creations in August after the community has had time to enjoy them! Bring your creativity and we’ll provide the rest! Please click here to register.



Niagra: The Falls and the River – Thursday, 5/26 at 7pm via Zoom.

Explore the history of the Niagara Falls region – from Native American legends to modern-day parks and attractions – with author and photographer Kevin Woyce. Please click here to register.



Prohibition in New Jersey – Tuesday, 5/31 at 7pm via Zoom.

Join historian Greg Caggiano for a presentation on rumrunning and Prohibition in New Jersey, with a focus on Monmouth County. Hear stories of mob violence, corruption, local legends, and how towns built up for religious retreats exploded into underworlds of crime. The role of the Speakeasy and cocktails of the era will also be examined. Please click here to register.



Computer Classes



1-On-1 Computer Instruction – Wednesday, 5/4 and Thursday, 5/5. Franklin Park Branch.

Register for one hour of one-on-one instruction on a library computer, or your own device.

Training can include, but are not limited to, an introduction to using the mouse, navigating the Internet, or using email. Please specify your training interest when registering.

Health & Fitness



Beginner Yoga – Mondays at 5pm via Zoom.

Chair Yoga – Thursday, 5/12 and 5/26 at 11am via Zoom.

This gentle class focuses on an exploration of basic yoga poses and how to connect them through attention to breathing, alignment and mindfulness. Register here: 5/12 | 5/26



Meditation – Thursday, 5/12 at 7pm via Zoom.

Are you interested in trying meditation to reduce stress or calm your mind? Come try a guided mindfulness meditation session. The process focuses on non-judgmental awareness of our thoughts and actions to achieve relaxation and calm. Please click here to register.



Tai Chi for Beginners – Saturday, 5/7 and 5/21 at 7pm via Zoom.

Professional Development



Conquering Your Fear of Public Speaking – Tuesday, 5/24 at 1pm. DeMott Lane Branch.

Do you get nervous when interviewing or making presentations at company meetings? Do you find it hard to make conversations at gatherings and social events? Do you freeze up in awkward social situations? If so, this workshop is for you! It is for anybody who wants to improve their speaking skills in both formal and informal situations. Learn important strategies to gain the confidence and the skills to interact with others, to speak in informal situations, and to make presentations in front of small groups. Everything Else



English as a Second Language Class – Mondays at 3pm via Zoom.

A free, Basic ESL conversation group led by an experienced, NJ-certified ESL teacher. Offered to ESL students who have a basic, working knowledge of English and wish to gain confidence speaking English. Click one of the following dates to register: 5/9 | 5/16 | 5/23



Pet Loss Support – Saturday, 5/15 at 1:15pm via Zoom.

Pet parents who have lost a pet, or anticipate a loss, gather to share stories and memories with like minds and hearts. The Friends of Nikki Pet Loss Support Group was founded 3/8/01 and has been serving the community for over 19 years.
