Even though summer is almost over, there is still plenty of time to check out a book that’s perfect for a (socially distanced) beach trip. There is no hard and fast rule for what constitutes a ‘beach read,’ but it generally refers to a type of fiction that is short, accessible, and hugely entertaining (the story doesn’t have to take place at the beach, but it certainly doesn’t hurt if it does!).
