Vacation Creations: Make a Castle Scene!

Make a Castle Scene!
What you need:
• Castle, dragon, and jester printouts
• Scissors
• Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
• Paper scraps and glue for decorating (for example, the dragon’s fire)

Print out the images below for the castle, dragon, and jester and cut them out. (NOTE: To print, right-click on the image, select “Copy Image” and then paste it into a word processing program or onto a blank page in Google Docs. You will be able to print from there).

Or, if you aren’t able to print, draw your own using the images on the screen as a guide – or stop by the Library to pick up the templates! We are open for Grab & Go, so you may come in for a short visit to choose books and get your templates.

Color the dragon and jester any way you like. Trace the jester on another piece of paper if you’d like more than one. You can do the same with the dragon.

Color the outside of the castle, and the inside too, if you like! Make up a story with the jester and dragon: Why are they at the castle? Whose castle is it? What’s happening there? Use the paper scraps to add details, like fire coming from the dragon’s mouth, or a treasure chest, or flowers.

Take a picture of your finished creation and post it on the Library’s Facebook page or email it to annelmay@franklintwp.org so we can see what you made!
