Representatives from the AARP Tax-Aide program will be providing tax preparation assistance to individuals at the Library during the months of February, March & April.
Assistance is by appointment only, and inquiries should be directed to the AARP directly. Appointment preference will be given to the elderly and individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. The contact number for appointments is (908) 541-5710. This number will be open for appointments beginning February 1st.
Since its inception in 1968, AARP Tax-Aide has grown to become the nation’s largest free, volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance program. More than 35,000 AARP Tax-Aide volunteers, trained in cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service, help more than 2.6 million taxpayers file their federal, state, and local tax returns each year.
The Holiday season was a bit slim when it came to new books. 2012 is here now and the new releases should start out with a couple of new titles from newcomers and old favorites alike. As usual click on the cover image to check the catalog.
