The Children’s Services Department of the Franklin Township Public Library is happy to work with you in meeting the educational needs of the students in both public, private and home school; in addition to scout troops and other community organizations located in Franklin Township.

Can a teacher or caregiver bring their class/group to visit the library?
Teachers from public/private/home schools may schedule one class visit per year. To ensure a meaningful experience, these visits are arranged by appointment with the Head of Children’s Services, who will structure the visit in consultation with the teacher. These visits may consist of a tour, basic library instruction and a story at any one of our three branches. Please call (732) 873-8700, extension 112 to arrange a class or group visit.
Can teachers and caregivers bring their class/group to public programs at the library?
Publicized programs are for children with their families. Our programs are well attended by the public, so unfortunately we are not able to accommodate school groups at these programs. Please call (732) 873-8700, ext 112 to arrange a special visit for your class or group!
How can the library assist with assignments?
We encourage teachers to contact the library when planning an assignment. Librarians are happy to talk with you about the resources (print and digital) that are available for your students. The library subscribes to many online databases that can be accessed from school or home computers by logging into the Franklin Township Library homepage with a free library card!
