Library Edition, the largest online family history resource available, provides unprecedented access to family history via documents that record the lineage of individuals from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and more. Available exclusively in the library.

Business Source Elite: This business database provides full text for over 1,000 business publications. The rich collection of titles in Business Source Elite provides information dating back to 1985. More than 10,100 substantial company profiles from Datamonitor are also included. This database is updated on a daily basis via EBSCOhost.


Contemporary Authors offers current biographical and bibliographical data on more than 120,000 modern authors. Each entry contains the most complete and up-to-date entry, accessible through an easy-to-use interface with a variety of search paths to help you locate the information you need quickly and efficiently. You can easily search for an author by name, title of work, subject/genre, nationality, date and place of birth, honors, awards and much more

Corfacts: New Jersey Business to Business Directory Includes information on over 64,000 New Jersey businesses. Can be used to create mailing labels and contact lists.


ERIC: ERIC, the Education Resource Information Center, contains more than 1.3 million records and links to more than 323,000 full-text documents dating back to 1966.

Gale Directory Library: Online access to the Gale Encyclopedia of Associations and the Gale Directory of Publications and Broadcast Media.

Gale Virtual Reference Library: A full-text searchable database of e-books from a variety of different subjects. An online reference library.

GreenFILE: GreenFILE offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. Its collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles includes content on the environmental effects of individuals, corporations and local/national governments, and what can be done at each level to minimize these effects.


Heritage Quest is a comprehensive treasury of American genealogical sources—rich in unique primary sources, local and family histories, convenient research guides, interactive census maps, and more. Access to Heritage Quest is provided by the New Jersey State Library.


Image Collection: The Image Collection database consists of more than 1 million total images in these categories, broken down as follows: Photographs, Images from Canadian Press, Getty Images, and UPI Maps from Antenna Audio Photographs from public domain sources. The images consist of a wide array of photos and maps, with an emphasis on world news and events. Other areas of coverage include contemporary and historical photos of people, places, and the natural kingdom.

Literary Reference Center provides a broad spectrum of research information on thousands of authors and their works across literary disciplines and timeframes. Literary Reference Center contains plot summaries, articles/essays, author biographies, book reviews, author interviews, and more.

Little Pim: Little Pim (from Mango Languages) offers video based language learning specifically designed for children.


Mango Languages Online: Online language learning site includes: Spanish, French, Italian, Russian and others. Also includes a limited selection of ESL programs including English for Spanish speakers and English for Polish speakers.

Masterfile Elite: Designed specifically for public libraries, this multidisciplinary database provides full text for nearly 1,700 general reference publications with full text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Premier also contains full text for nearly 500 reference books and over 164,400 primary source documents, as well as an Image Collection of over 502,000 photos, maps & flags. Middle Search: Middle Search Plus contains full text for more than 150 popular, middle school magazines. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for nearly 200 magazines. All full text articles are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). Full text is also available for thousands of biographies, historical essays and student pamphlets.

Military & Government Collection: Designed to offer current news pertaining to all branches of the military and government, this database offers a thorough collection of periodicals, academic journals, and other content pertinent to the increasing needs of those sites. The Military & Government Collection provides cover-to-cover full text for nearly 300 journals and periodicals and indexing and abstracts for more than 400 titles.

NovelList: Novelist is an ideal way to discover new authors or find an author whose style matches your own personal taste. Special search features give the reader the ability to find a book by describing the plot, locating a series name, or reviewing suggested reading lists. Lists of titles are grouped by content and age group in order to find the best fit for your reading preference and level.

NovelList K-8: Like Novelist but directed towards readers from Kindergarten through the 8th grade.


The Oxford African American Studies Center provides students, scholars and librarians with more than 20,000 articles by top scholars in the field Over 2,500 images, more than 700 primary sources with specially written commentaries, and nearly 200 maps have been collected to enhance this reference content

Refrencia Latina: Referencia Latina, a comprehensive Spanish-language database, offers content from a variety of sources including 49,000 encyclopedia entries.

Regional Business News: Full text for nearly 100 regional U.S. and Canadian business publications.

Accessing Rosetta Stone Mobile:

  1. Rosetta Stone account no longer need to be created inside a NJ public library.  They only require a NJ public library card number.
  2. Prior to logging in for the first time, on your mobile device go to the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) and download the Learn Languages: Rosetta Stone app.  You only need to do this once.
  3. On your mobile device visit and click on the Rosetta Stone link.
  4. Enter your library card number if prompted.  Do not log in with your Google account.
  5. When the Rosetta Stone screen appears log in with your username and password and choose the language you wish to learn.
  6. On the next screen click the link that says Launch Rosetta Stone.
  7. The Rosetta Stone app on your mobile device will launch and load you into your language after a short delay.

Small Business Reference Center: This database offers a wide variety of information on small business and entrepreneurial subject areas, common business types, a help and advice section, and provides information on how to create business plans that lead to successful funding.


Teacher Reference Center: Provides indexing and abstracts for 280 of the most popular teacher and administrator journals and magazines to assist professional educators.

With Gale Presents: Udemy, users can explore more than 4,000 continuously updated, on-demand video courses across 75 categories in business, technology, design, and more to learn anytime, anywhere.
