April is National Poetry Month! Show your creativity and earn a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card! Students ages 12-17 are invited to submit poems to our Online Teen Poetry Jam.

Submit original poems to kbilton[at]franklintwp[dot]org. Each submitted poem equals one raffle entry. Up to 3 entries per person permitted.

All poems must be typed in the body of an email or in an attachment that is easily opened such as a PDF or Word Doc. Scans or images of handwritten documents will not be accepted.

All poems will be posted on library teen social media (@ftplteens on Instagram and Snapchat) with the student’s first name only unless requested to be anonymous and at the discretion of the teen librarian.

Entries that are plagiarized, explicit, offensive, or demeaning in any way or suspected to be A.I generated will not be accepted.

One random winner will be drawn from all eligible entries. The winner will be notified via email within a few days of April 22 and must be able to pick up the prize, in person, at one of our library locations.

Any questions, email kbilton[at]franklintwp[dot]org. Contest runs March 25 – April 22, 2026.
