Created in 1958, National Library Week is celebrated each April across the United States and is sponsored by the American Library Association.  It is a week to celebrate the contributions of libraries and librarians, as well as promote library use and support.  The theme for 2016 is “Libraries Transform”.  Award-winning graphic novelist Gene Luen Yang is the Honorary Chair.  Here’s what he had to say about libraries:

Libraries transform lives and communities by providing
free access to technology, career development resources
and the skills to help people thrive in the digital age.

Here are some ways you can celebrate!
