Become an ESL Tutor: Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County – Thursday, 6/16 at 7pm via Zoom.

You Are Here: A New Jersey Travel Guide – Thursday, 6/9 at 7pm via Zoom.

No matter where you live in New Jersey, you’re likely around the corner from an interesting museum, historic site, or park. This program utilizes photography and compelling fun facts to highlight cool places around the state including the Roebling Museum, Fort Mott, Whitesbog Village, and more. Whether you’re new to New Jersey or have lived here all your life, you’ll be inspired to visit the places discussed (you’re also welcome to just enjoy this tour from your couch!). Presenter Kerri Sullivan is the editor of New Jersey Fan Club: Artists & Writers Celebrate the Garden State, an anthology about New Jersey published by Rutgers University Press. She is the founder of Jersey Collective, a regionally popular collaborative Instagram project that serves as a community for people interested in New Jersey and photography. She’s also a librarian, and in her free time enjoys taking day trips all over New Jersey.

Beginner Yoga – Mondays at 5pm via Zoom.

Chair Yoga – Thursday, 6/9 and 6/23 at 11am via Zoom.

Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body: Tips from Research – Friday, 6/10 at 11am. DeMott Lane Branch.

Learn about research in the areas of nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity, and social engagement, and use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging. Please click here to register.



Meditation – Thursday, 6/23 at 7pm via Zoom.

Are you interested in trying meditation to reduce stress or calm your mind? Come try a guided mindfulness meditation session. The process focuses on non-judgmental awareness of our thoughts and actions to achieve relaxation and calm. Please click here to register.



Mental Health First Aid – Thursday, 6/16 and 6/22 at 2pm via Zoom.

Learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help. Register here: 6/16 and 6/22



Tai Chi for Beginners – Saturday, 6/18 at 7pm via Zoom.

Everything Else



Pet Loss Support – Saturday, 6/19 at 1:15pm. DeMott Lane Branch.

Pet parents who have lost a pet, or anticipate a loss, gather to share stories and memories with like minds and hearts. The Friends of Nikki Pet Loss Support Group was founded 3/8/01 and has been serving the community for over 19 years.
