Caregiver Series: Pet Therapy – Tuesday, 4/16 at 10:30am.

Pet therapy for seniors, also known as Animal Assisted Therapy, is a technique that uses animals to interact with seniors for numerous reasons to help improve their quality of life. Pet therapy reduces depression, loneliness, stress and anxiety by providing companionship and promoting feelings of enjoyment and relaxation. Does the effect of animal interaction with older adults provide any benefits or challenges? Provided by the Somerset County Office on Aging and Disability Services. Film & Discussion: Being Mortal – Tuesday, 4/16 at 2pm.

In honor of National Healthcare Decisions Day (4/16), the library will be showing Being Mortal followed by a question and answer session with a healthcare professional. Click here to register!

Film & Discussion: Alice’s Ordinary People – Wednesday, 4/17 at 6:45pm. 

Join us for a film screening of Alice’s Ordinary People and an opportunity to meet with the filmmaker!

Meditation for Beginners – Thursday, 4/18 at 7pm.

Are you interested in trying meditation to reduce stress or calm your mind? Come try a guided mindfulness meditation session. The process focuses on non-judgmental awareness of our thoughts and actions to achieve relaxation and calm. There will also be time for questions. Please register here!
