Events of the Week: How to Pay for College, Job Search & “Draft Day”

We have some great events happening this week.  Will you have to be paying for college soon? Are you already?  Do you want help with your resume and cover writing skills? Or maybe you just want to take it easy and enjoy this week’s free movie Draft Day. 

How to Pay for College is on Tuesday, September 16 at 6:30 pm in the Community Room.  Education Funding Specialists of NJ are providing a free class that covers how to chose colleges, increasing your chances of getting in, and of course money tips.  Learn more about the topics covered here and sign up! Job Search: Creating a Winning Cover Letter & Resume is on Wednesday, September 17 at 7 pm in the Community Room.  Participants will get a chance to work on their materials as well as how to target their application materials to the job posting.  Learn more and register here, registration is required.

DraftDay

Our free movie this week is Draft Day starring Kevin Costner.  The movie will be shown on Friday, September 19 at 2:00 PM.

On the day of the NFL Draft, general manager Sonny Weaver (Kevin Costner) has the opportunity to save football in Cleveland when he trades for the number one pick. He must quickly decide what he’s willing to sacrifice in pursuit of perfection as the lines between his personal and professional life become blurred on a life-changing day for a few hundred young men with dreams of playing in the NFL. RatedPG-13 for brief strong language and sexual references; 110 minutes.  Registration is requested.
