Summer Concert Series

We still have three great concerts left in our summer series!

The Sensational 70s in Music– Wednesday, August 9th
Acclaimed international concert violinist, Dr. David Podles, will present a poignant and exciting selection of the music that captured the dramatic changes in music history during the 1970s. From the classic rock of the Beatles at the beginning of the decade to the pulsating dance beats of Disco, with selections of famous movie soundtracks, show tunes, and international hits along the way, David will play many of the highlights from a decade of significant changes in musical styles.

The VooDUDES– Wednesday, August 16th
The VooDUDES will bring their mix of American Roots and Classic Rock sounds to the library for an evening of music guaranteed to make hands clap and feet stomp!  Their performance will mix the old, the new, the borrowed, and the bluesy, and is sure to delight you.  The band is now in its 27th year. The VooDUDES are Dave Ambrosy on drums and vocals; Gary Ambrosy on guitar, lapsteel, and vocals; Andy ‘B” Bernstein on vocals, percussion, and harmonica; and Fred Saunders on bass.

The Desperados are a 5-piece band from the Jersey Shore who perform the music of the Eagles, as well as classic country rock by other artists.  While on hiatus from their original rock band, Idol Threat, brothers Patrick Reiner and Robbie Reiner were saddened by the death of the Eagles frontman, Glenn Frey, who had first inspired the Reiner brothers to pick up their instruments.  The brothers were moved to form The Desperados, which honors both the music of the Eagles and the artists they influenced.
All concerts begin at 7 pm in the Community Room. Seating is first-come, first-served and cannot be guaranteed. Register today!
