Watercolor Wednesday @ DeMott Lane Branch (All Ages) – Wednesday, 3/15 at 5:30pm. DeMott Lane Branch.

Paint to the relaxing instrumental sounds of Ireland’s flute and harp music while using the library’s watercolors. No registration required.



Franklin Township Astronomy Club Meeting – Wednesday, 3/15 at 6pm. DeMott Lane Branch.

An open and inclusive club which promotes both the science and joy of astronomy and its related activities. Please click here to register.



Get Certified in Mental Health First Aid – Thursday, 3/16 from 2pm-7pm via Google Meet.

Learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help. Please click here to register.



Examining the Titanic – Thursday, 3/23 at 7pm via Zoom.

Historian Greg Caggiano will give a lecture on the story of the Titanic, from voyage to sinking. The presentation will examine passengers’ life on the ship, the Titanic’s construction, and reasons why it sank. Caggiano will also discuss the culinary aspects of the journey, such as the last meals served to the first, second, and third classes. Please click here to register.



Cookbook Club: Your Favorite Recipe – Wednesday, 3/29 at 6pm. DeMott Lane Branch.

Attend the first meeting of our new Cookbook Club, a book club for readers who enjoy spending time in the kitchen! For this meeting, we’re keeping the theme vague: choose a favorite recipe from one of your favorite cookbooks to prepare and share. At the meeting, we will discuss the cookbooks, dishes, cooking techniques, and sample each other’s dishes! Please click here to register.



Computer Classes



Drop-In Tech Help @ DeMott Lane – Tuesday, 3/7 at 2pm and Friday, 3/24 at 10:30am. DeMott Lane Branch.

Intro to ExcelMonday, March 13 at 10:30am-12:00pm at DeMott Lane.

Learn the basics of this popular software program designed for storing, organizing and manipulating data. This class will discuss the parts of a spreadsheet, including columns, rows and cells. Participants will create a basic spreadsheet during class. You must be able to use a mouse and be familiar with basic computer concepts such as opening, closing, and re-sizing windows before taking this class. No registration required.



Topics in Excel- Monday, March 27 at 10:30am-12:00pm at DeMott Lane.

Learn more of the basics of this popular software program designed for storing, organizing and manipulating data. Participants will create a basic spreadsheet during class and practice using some more of the tools in this program. Registrants should have already taken Introduction to MS Excel 2013 before taking this class, or at least have familiarity with Excel basics. No registration required.
